The RVSM Task Force, established by
APANPIRG, has been extremely instrumental in the implementation of the
RVSM over most of the Asia/Pacific air space. Therefore, when China
informed of the plan for introduction of RVSM in the Chinese air space,
the group was called upon again
RVSM/TF/30 was held at ICAO Asia and Pacific Office
from 12 to 16 March 2007.
As China shares its borders with about
10 neighboring flight information regions (FIRs) which will be affected
by RVSM implementation in China, including transition arrangements
between flight levels defined in feet and meters, the knowledge and
experience that have been gained by the RVSM Implementation Task Force
are useful to China and surrounding States, and will assist in
inter-regional harmonization when China proceeds with RVSM
implementation.
The RVSM/TF/30 saw as many as 106
participants from China, Hong Kong China, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan,
Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Russian
Federation, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, United States, Uzbekistan,
Viet Nam, IATA, IFALPA and IFATCA.
